(ADDED August 2007)
1675 E. Old Schaumburg Road
Schaumburg, IL 60194
1-847-490-7020
http://www.parkfun.com/dir/parks/SkatePark-Cons.html

This park opened in June 2006. This is one of those new skate plazas. Various sized stairs, ledges and gaps all over the place. 3 sizeable handrails. There is a bowl, with an open end and the rest is 4ft, but the transition is horrible. This park is great for those that enjoy street skating. If you're a bowl rider and/or prefer a traditional transition type park, then this park is not worth the trip. Helmets not required.

May 2007: We have learned that the entire complex building that Scrap is located in, has CLOSED DOWN, after 17years of service. We called to confirm, but the number has already been disconnected. We hope they plan to relocate, as they are one of the very few indoor skateparks located within 1 hour of the city of Chicago and the vert ramp is the best ever!
Scrap has a completely new layout and is now open for the 2006 winter season. Lots of boxes with ledges. Roll-in, vert wall and lots of 1/4pipes. Both the 12ft vert and the 5ft mini remain(moved to different places), but the foam pit has been removed. One side of the 5ft mini is spined and the other part of that side has a ledge with a bank ramp. There is a sperate section, geared more for bikes, that has two huge launchboxes and 1/4 pipes on each side. They are now open 7 days a week! Call or check their website for session times. Helmet required. Bikes allowed.
