The skatepark was officially
opened on Friday June 16th, 2000
To celebrate the grand opening, Sonya Martin, of the Parks Commission,
spoke about the years of work that went into the planning of the skatepark.
Mayor Joseph Tracarico ackowledged Kara Guire for her effort in closely
assisting the town with the project. The mayor then proceeded with
ribbon-cutting, signifying the skatepark was now officially open.

The skatepark consists
of 1/4pipes, ranging from 4ft to 8feet. 4ft launchbox, spine,
flybox with handrail, 3-sided pyramid, cornerbowl, big rectangular box
and four different
ground rails(kink, 2 round, square). Installation of LIGHTS is coming
this summer!
